Backyard Beekeeping Class

Buzz on by the farm on Sunday, April 16 from 9am-12pm for our beekeeping class!

These amazzzing little pollinators not only increase fruit and vegetable production but are also generally beneficial to the environment. And a healthy hive can produce up to several gallons of local honey each year.

Grab a friend, your honey, or just yourself and learn how to keep bees healthy, safe, and happy. We will go over the basics at a beginner level, including where to get bees, how to set up and maintain the hive, and how to protect it from pests and disease.

Bee prepared by wearing light colored clothing, closed-toe shoes, long sleeves and pants, and skip any perfume, cologne, fruity shampoos, or scented lotions.
